All-on-4 - Dental Implants Net


Large bone grafting and bone augmentation for implant placement impose a heavy burden on patients with multiple tooth defects. In such cases, the "All-on-4" treatment approach may be available. In this method, four required minimum implants are placed into the jawbone with sufficient bone quantity in a balanced manner to firmly support the connected artificial teeth.

This surgical technique: One-stage method

procedures

  • 1.Conditions in the patient’s mouth are examined and diagnosed with radiography and CT for treatment planning.
    At the same time, the temporary restoration to be placed after surgery is fabricated.
  • 2.If necessary, a tooth (or teeth) is extracted and four implants are placed into the jawbone.
    Immediately after surgery, a break is taken for 1 to 2 hours.
  • 3.After a break for 1 to 2 hours, the temporary restoration is placed.
    As soon as the patient goes home, meals can be eaten using the temporary restoration.
  • 4.About 4 to 5 months after surgery for "All-on-4", the high-strength and esthetic final restoration is placed in the patient’s mouth.
