i-CAT - Revolutionary Implant Dentistry

Until just recently, implant surgeons have been dependant on the conventional dental X-ray, which offers only a 2 dimensional, distorted view of jaw bones. This means the surgery and restoration process were as if guessing game, and sometimes unsafe. At New Image, we are proud to be at the forefront of the revolution taking dentistry in general - and implant dentistry in particular - by storm.

i-CAT is the revolutionary 3 dimensional scan of the teeth, bones, and face. Unlike the X-ray, the view is NOT distorted for the surgical area that can be reviewed from any angle or cross section. It eliminates "game" elements and prevents the unnecessary risks that are inherent in surgeries that do not use this vital tool. i-CAT takes the diagnosis in the dental office to a brand new level. It also uses less radiation than a full mouth X-ray series.

Simply put, the i-CAT imaging system is an in-office cat scan, sometimes referred to as a cone beam cat scan, designed specifically for dental specialists, that provides highly accurate, high definition, 3-D images and information. This gives dentists complete and accurate views of the anatomy of a patient's mouth face and jaw areas.
