Tipping movement refers to rotational movement of a tooth in the buccolingual (the cheek and tongue sides of a tooth) or mesiodistal (the anterior and posterior sides of a tooth) direction with the apical thrid of tooth root as the fulcrum through applying a force to a point on the crown.
