Care for Mini Implants

After the treatment, the ball of the implants must be well brushed and cleaned as if they were your original teeth. Just like natural teeth, food and bacterial plaque and debris must be clearly removed after meals. If this is not done, the plaque may cause inflammation of the gums and can be forced into the O-ring fixtures, which is causing improper seating and loss of retention. The O-ring fixtures must also be cleaned out.

The access toothbrush has been specifically designed for optimum cleaning of the implant fixtures. Ultrasonic cleaners are great for insuring that the retaining fixtures are kept clean and free from food impaction or debris. Better to use mouthwash or a fifty-fifty peroxide solution in the ultrasonic cleaner: Called "Water-Pic" may also be used for rinsing out the denture fixtures. If the denture is not stable firmly in place, call the denture centre and inform what makes you in trouble. Your dentist find the solution and determine your appropriate recall interval. At that time, the condition of the implant, your gums and the O-rings will be evaluated and properly maintained.
