What Is One Hour Implant

Now it is possible to get dental implants, and new fully functioning teeth in just one session. Traditionally, the implant procedure used to require "at least" two steps. The first step involves placing the implant, which was left from two to six months to heal and integrate with the jawbone. During this healing period, the patient was given a temporary prosthesis until the permanent crown could be placed. Conventional implants, are also very expensive and a very time consuming process which is often taking six to eighteen months to complete with multiple surgeries.

This innovated technique is a one of the wonderful revolutions around the world regarding dental implants. As most people recognize, implant is absolutely the best way to help those with missing teeth. With this implant you will not need to wait such a ling period. On the day of your implant surgery you can leave the office with a temporary crown attached to your implant. One month later the permanent crown can be attached.

What is the difference between same day implants and traditional implants?

Conventional implants consist of these following steps:

1. First surgery-oral surgeon exposes the jawbone and drills a siz to seven mm hole to insert a four mm titanium post.
2. Waiting period of appx. two to six months until your bone grows.
3. Second surgery-oral surgeon exposes the tip of each post and attaches the crown.
4. If a bone graft is necessary, another surgery would be needed before inserting the titanium post adding another four to eight months of healing time. This is common as traditional implants can only be inserted vertically.
